“What should I wear to my photography session?”
As a photographer, this is the number one question I get asked from clients. Coming from a mama and photo lover myself, I know the struggle and stress that planning everyone’s wardrobe can bring. That’s why I am here today with this post to help guide you through the process and help you to feel confident in your wardrobe selections. COLOR SCHEME
Your color palette should include 4-5 colors. You want to pick these according to tones instead of just colors. Examples of tones can include earth tones, neutral tones, beach tones, pastels, etc. If you already know the location of the photoshoot, choose a palette that will compliment the colors of your surroundings.
ACCESSORIES
Now, this is where you can make your images really pop with color, personality, and/ or flare! Pull out that thrifty hat. Dare to wear that jacket that spices it all up. For her try statement piece jewelry, hat, scarf, kimono, jacket, or bows! For him try a hat, suspenders, tie, jacket, belt.
CREATE A STYLE BOARD ON PINTEREST
Hop on Pinterest and create a board that is dedicated to your family’s photography wardrobe if your photographer does not offer this service for you to begin with. Start with the color palette and then start searching for “Family sessions outfits “. Pin what you love then start your online shopping.

STYLE AND SELECT
Taking it one step further from Pinterest, I also offer a service to my clients to help meet their specific needs. Style and Select is a subscription-based service, at no cost to my clients that provides them with the latest fashion trends. It works by having them fill out a questionnaire (or sometimes I will do it for them).
It starts off by asking what your style is (urban, boho, classic).
Next, you select how many people you are styling along with their ages and genders!
Lastly, you to select what color palette you are looking for.
And then bam! It pulls up all of the latest looks for you to pick and choose coordinating outfits for your family, making it super easy to dress everyone.
